Well, the iPhone did not meet expectations in the British homeland.

The iPhone was projected by Apple and a lot of experts to sell around 200,000 iPhones within the first 2 months of arrival. The iPhone fell short of 5% which meant that Apple only sold 190,000 iPhones.

Not a big deal and the reasoning is not a big suprise either.

For one, phones in the UK are usually free with a carrier contract and most people just think the iPhone costs too many pounds.
