Microsoft and Dell have joined in their efforts to fight against AIDS.

How did you do this you ask? Well, Microsoft and Dell have come together to produce red products which represent AIDS awareness.

Example? The Dell laptops. The Dell XPS M1330 and M1530 are both available in red which looks great on the slim gaming laptops. The Dell XPS One and their All-In-One Printer are also offered in red.

 Good job Bill and Michael.

Steve chases Bill into retirement

Well, chasing does not seem appropriate but still: iPhone? Macbook? iPod?

Bill Gates has left his CEO position at Microsoft after years of making billions through the software company. But, did it come at an inconvient time?

The iPod success has boomed into the modern world. Macbooks are gaining popularity and the Macintosh OS X has caught on overtime! Now, the iPhone takes a stab at Microsoft and guess what? Microsoft does not even have an answer.

If you ask me, Bill Gates hindered Microsoft’s progression. He chose not to go down the hardware route onside with making software.

He insisted on not having an iPhone response…Maybe it is for the best of Microsoft that he is leaving.

IE8 to be standards compliant

Jonathan Fren @ 6:17 pm 0 Comments

Ahh. Finally it looks like Internet Explorer will follow the rules. The folks at Microsoft have been working hard (well, they’re probably trying to reduce the pain), and they now pass the infamous ACID2 test (you would see a smiley face on the second link if your browser passes), which even the current version of Firefox can’t claim.

Microsoft’s channel 9 has more, including a video with IE’s GM Dean Hachamovitch and Architect Chris Wilson. Oh yeh, but you need silverlight to watch it. Doh.

Anyway, congrats to the IE team, and keep working hard at it. This is good news for both developers and users (which latest figures show are anything from 30% to 90% of web users).
