Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac OS X

Microsoft has annouced that Microsoft Office 2008 will be shipping for Mac OS X.

“Office 2008 for Mac is significantly enhanced to provide a simplified user experience that helps beginners and longtime experts alike deliver professional documents that are compatible for co-workers and friends on Macs and PCs. The suite provides the Office tools Mac users rely on, with a Mac-like approach and style.”

Everything from Powerpoint 2008 to Excel 2008 will be in the suite and of course simplicity is of the essence.

Expect to pay $299.99 for an upgrade and $499.99 for a full retail purchase.

iMacTouch?

A week before MacWorld 2008 in San Francisco, and Photoshop mock ups are already showing up everywhere! Check out this one:

I must say the top one looks spectacular! The designer must be hired by Apple because the design simply represents Apple’s dedication to slim and simple devices.

 These devices are only speculation but, Steve Jobs is expected to present at least one new product at MacWorld. Stick around and see.
