AT&T has annouced that they will give their broadband cable modem suscribers free Wi-Fi access at over 10,000 locations!

Suscribers will now be able to go Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, or even McDonalds and use their Wi-Fi enabled laptops or phones to surf the internet for free.

Great news for any AT&T broadband user as they have surpassed T-Mobile in hotspots! AT&T supports 10,000 locations while T-Mobile pushes over 8,000.

 

AT&T, the United States’ largest telephone company has annouced they want to volunteerily police and monitor the internet or at least their suscribers for illegal copyrighted materials!

According to the federal government, no telecommunications company is required to monitor such material such as pirated movies, music, and software but…Of course AT&T wants to step up and take on the job.

My personal take? I do not like companies playing police at all. The internet is the best invention in the modern era and users should be able to share information freely.
